A New Beginning (Curriculum)
Good News for Our BSN Students!
There will be significant changes in the BSN curriculum, beginning Fall 2021. We are lowering the number of credit hours - from 42 to 32 - with the reduction of courses - from 14 to 10 - in the BSN major. NURS 316 and NURS 320 will no longer be offered or required, with the content from these courses integrated into the revised curriculum. In addition, the 2 mastery courses (NURS 415/L and 425/L) will each be combined in to a 4-credit hour course - NURS 415C and NURS 425C. These 2 courses will be offered in a 16-week format while the other BSN courses will continue to be offered in 8-week sessions. The table in the Nursing Lobby - Shopping Mall depicts the new BSN Course Rotation Schedule. Please contact your nursing academic advisor with questions about the revisions. If you are unsure who your advisor is, please contact the nursing administrative assistant, Lenay Tyler (email@example.com). Registration for Summer and Fall courses began on April 4, 2021.
Have you taken a look at the Nursing Lobby? This page was created for our nurses to have a plethora of resources and guides to make things feel a bit easier. These resources include how to get started in the program, GoldenLibrary guides, Writing guides, course information, and more! Take some time this semester to check it out.
