Description: A primer to the cross-national movement that most recently has received increased attention from state and federal legislators in addressing the epidemic of violence against Indigenous women, girls, queer and trans women throughout Canada and the United States. Supported with a systems dynamics analysis of the issue, Career counselor, Ms. Melissa Yazzie of the Navajo Nation, will rely on formal and community-based statistics to underscore disparities in data gathering and state responses to these populations' needs.
