- Additional Information: I came to ENMU as a faculty member in 1980! For years, I taught writing and literature classes, and occasionally Science Fiction, Victorian Literature, Freshmen Seminar and Women's Studies. Then, I went over to the "dark side" (administration!). I love fine arts events, and I speak football.
- One challenge I experienced in college: I was sure I was the least prepared person in the class. It turned out that the faculty didn't expect you to be prepared. They expected you to be open-minded, ready to learn and to let them help. I loved being in college. I could feel my mind growing every day. I still feel that at ENMU.
- I am a Greyhound Connection Mentor because Freshmen are the heart of a university. They are by turns lively and comatose, worried and carefree, tragic and fun all in the same day. They ask questions all the time. Any chance I have to be around them, I am going to be there!
