OSP is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and submitting proposals

  • Analyzing and negotiating contract and grant award terms and conditions to ensure compliance with sponsor terms and conditions, university policies, and federal regulations and requirements.

  • Initiating post-award re-negotiation, modifications, and problem resolutions.

  • Negotiate and sign material transfers, memorandum of understanding's and confidential/non-disclosure agreements.

  • Negotiate sub-awards as needed.

  • Facilitate service agreements.

Submit Proposal to Funding Agency

Depending on the funding agency, the submission will vary.

  • Review the submission process requirements listed in the notification

  • Submit final drafts of the proposal and all required documentation to OSP for review

  • You and OSP can review the final upload/mailing of documentation prior to final submission

  • Include OSP as AIR on the submission

Prior to submitting to the funding agency, complete the ENMU GAF, Budget, and abstract form for university approvals, 10 days prior to submission to the funding agency.

OSP will assist you in reviewing the submission requirements, i.e., proposal, attachments, budget, certifications, etc.

  • Finalize all expenditures (30 days after grant closed date)

  • Final draw-down (30 days after grant closed date)

  • Final report (90 days after grant closed date)

  • Grant file retention (3 years after grant closed out or agency site visit)
