General Education Commitee
Reports to: Vice President Academic Affairs through Faculty Senate
Responsibilities: Recommends on General Education requirements and programs.
Length of Term and Faculty Membership Guidelines: The faculty membership of this committee shall be comprised of ten (10) faculty members (2 from CET, 1 from CFA, 4 from CLAS, 1 COB, elected by university faculty; and 2 at-large faculty members who shall not be from the same college, appointed by the Faculty Senate. Faculty members on this committee must be full-time, hold at least ½ FTE teaching assignments, and must have worked as ENMU faculty members for two (2) years prior to their selection. Terms on this committee are three (3) years. Faculty members may serve on this committee multiple times, but may serve only two (2) consecutive terms. Chair elected by committee (Chair can only be a Portales faculty member).
Membership: Appointments are three (3) year term with a two (2) consecutive term limit. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 3:30 pm.
