Faculty Senate Reports to: University President
Responsibilities: The Faculty Senate (in addition to faculty membership on university committees and councils) is the primary vehicle for faculty participation in university governance.
Membership: Membership terms shall be for a period of two (2) consecutive academic years, including summers, with provision for staggered terms. Approximately 50% of Senators should begin terms in even numbered years and 50% should begin terms in odd numbered years. No person may be elected to more than two (2) consecutive full terms. Senators who are elected to complete the term of another Senator remain eligible for election to their own 2 consecutive full term membership(s). Officer positions are one (1) year terms. Student representative terms are one (1) year terms. Chair is elected by the Senate.
