Reports to: Vice President of Academic Affairs(VPAA) through Faculty Senate
Responsibilities: To provide consultation and guidance to the Office of Institutional Research regarding faculty concerns related to university course evaluations; to conduct research on the effectiveness of university course evaluation measurements and identify areas for possible improvement; to act as a liaison between the Faculty Senate, the Faculty-at-Large, and the Office of Institutional Research on concerns and issues related to course evaluations. Committee responsibilities will evolve to provide the necessary shared governance as issues and concerns arise.
Length of Term and Membership Guidelines: The committee comprises six (6) members: five faculty members and one IR representative. The five (5) of the faculty members, two per CLAS and one per CET, CFA, and COB, will be elected via the Elections Committee, and must be full-time, hold at least one-half (½) FTE teaching assignments, and must have taught a course using distance learning technology within the last two (2) years. Terms on this committee are two (2) years, but will be staggered at its inception. Faculty members may serve on this committee multiple times and may be re-elected to this position, but may serve only two (2) consecutive terms. Chair elected by committee from its faculty members.
Membership: Appointments are two (2) year terms with a two (2) consecutive term limit.
