  • Strong Interest Inventory (SII)® – This newly revised inventory is frequently used in career assessment and measures the test-takers responses to academic (scholastic subject matter), personal (learning, working, leadership and personal style scales) and career related responses. To take the assessment, reach out to It is comprised of 291 items and typically takes 25-30 minutes to complete online. Your results are then emailed directly to you. We will review your results with you so that we can offer any clarification needed of your unique results.
  • Choices 360 – Choices 360 is inclusive to college student planning and career planning. You can begin by financial aid and college planning to see how you can stay on track with your college goals. Or, you can go the interest profile, which is similar to the strong Interest inventory and this will connect you to careers of interest. To set up your Choices 360 account and begin exploring, reach out to We will offer you logins and support for your exploration.
  • Career Onestop sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor – Another resource that allows you to review your interests and connect to careers is Career Onestop, sponsored by the U.S. Department of labor. Here you can begin with a self-assessment and review careers of interest. You will learn educational requirements and skills needed for any career as well as projected growth, openings and salary. 
  • The Myers Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI – If you are curious about personality type and the careers that may be a good fit for you, The Myers Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI, is a well-known assessment that can help you better understand your natural personality tendencies. Choices 360

A website where a student can create a portfolio and utilize for years to come, Choices 360 offers an Interest Profiler (similar to the SII), an Abilities Profiler (an actual timed aptitude test), a Values Sorter, and a Transferable Skills Inventory. Additionally, CHOICES 360 offers a Scholarship Finder, a School Finder, and has a comparison function where the user can compare one job to another. There are also research links to explore various careers and help sites for resumes, cover letters, and interviewing skills.

  1. In the Import from a Choices Portfolio to Your Account section, click the button for I'll do it later when I need it.
  2. Check the box if you agree to the privacy policy and terms of the site, and then click Next
  3. Click on Create Your Account – and start using Choices360!

What's Next?

Now that you have created an account on Choices360 you can begin to explore!  It is highly recommended that you create a portfolio to save all of your results and information for later reference.  To take an Inventory; use the following steps:

  1. You are now on the CHOICES 36 Postsecondary Student homepage.  There are many areas to choose for you to explore later on, but for now: Click the Career Planning tab.
  2. Click Learn About Yourself.
  3. The seven diffent inventories will appear in separate boxes.  We recommend that you start with the Interest Profiler.  Click on the word Interest Profiler in the box. 
  4. Click on Get Started
  5. Click on other inventories to complete themWe recommend clicking on the Ability Profiler next. The password for this section is beginYou may have problems with firewalls and these need to be removed for the profiler to work. You may also call 800.281.1168 for help.
